I was walking from my freshman dorm restroom down the hallway to my room in Abilene, Texas. Looking in each dorm room, I noticed every TV was on with the same story being broadcasted: "Plane crashes into World Trade Center."  I didn't have time to do much else but get my books and head to class, so I didn't think long about what this headline could mean. I arrived at Psychology 101 and after some intense moments of uncertainty as we watched the news, our professor decided to cancel class for that day. I knew something was wrong at this point. I walked to the campus center, where the nearest TV was, and watched as the second plane hit the other World Trade Center.  At that point I knew this wasn't an accident.  Students gathered around the TV for at least an hour before saying anything.  We were all in disbelief. I watcheed the news for rest of the day in shock. I remember that evening, there was talk of a mandory draft going around us 18 year old males. It was just speculation, but I was terrified that it could mean that I would be sent to war. I didn't go to war. But, it actually did mean war for so many in the coming decade.  And today there is still a battle going on because of the things that transpired that day.

"During the September 11 attacks, 2,996 people were killed: 2,977 victims and 19 of
the perpetrators. These immediate deaths included 246 victims on the four planes, 2,606 victims inside the World Trade Center and in the surrounding area, and 125 victims at the Pentagon" (Information taken from www.wikipedia.org)

May God provide comfort for families, friends, and those affected by the 9/11 attacks. God's eternal wrath is a much grander justice than anything we will ever see on earth. "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay, says the Lord…Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:19, 21, NIV Bible, Zondervan) "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." (Psalm 91:1, NIV Bible, Zondervan)

9/11/15 marks 14th anniversary of the attacks of 9/11.  Where were you on that day in 2001? Comment with your memory below. #neverforget911 #Psalm911

Today, New York saw this rainbow that seemed to begin right where the Twin Towers once stood. God is faithful!
