Oven Grilled Shrimp – Perfect for Valentine's Day

Every man loves meat, but man and woman are not created equal. So how are you going to make that special Valentine's Day dinner tasty for both of you? Oven grilled shrimp seasoned with Grub Rub, is the tastiest, healthiest, and easiest way to meet in the middle.  (Grub Rub doesn't have MSG or preservatives.)  Recently, my wife made this recipe for us, and I haven't ever enjoyed shrimp as much as I did then. This is a recipe you'll want to steal and put in your pocket for Valentine's Day. But because it's so easy and no-mess, it serves well for a summer picnic too!

Oven Grilled ShrimpJust remember, that each person gets their own kabob of juicy shrimp.  And if you're lucky like me, and your kids don't enjoy it as much, you get their leftovers!  Since I've been eating healthier this year, this totally fit my caloric intake needs. Gena is eating healtier as well, so we will be eating this again soon.

Ingredients:

  • one pound of fresh shrimp
  • cooking spray
  • Grub Rub or your favorite seasoning

Directions:

  1. Peel and de-vein the shrimp.  You can leave the tail on, but we didn't.
  2. Lightly spray a broil/grill pan with cooking spray
  3. Place shrimp on stainless steel skewers and on top of the broiling pan
  4. Turn oven to 500 degrees F.
  5. Sprinkle Grub Rub on both sides of shrimp. Rub the Grub Rub into the shrimp.
  6. Cook for 10 minutes flipping the shrimp half way through.
  7. Serve shrimp hot with side items like steamed veggies and fire-roasted tomato bisque.
